"On the Sunny Side of the Street" during the Pandemic

Holocaust survivor, Simon Gronowski, lifts lockdown spirits with jazz.  Simon who started playing jazz in memory of his piano-playing sister, tells us how “life is impossible without music.”

Playing Jazz on his electric piano from the front window of his house in Belgium, Simon brings a smile to his neighbors and passers-by.  And by telling his story in person and through books, he brings a message of hope.

“To defend today’s freedom and democracy, we have to be aware of yesterday’s evils. Life is beautiful, but it is a permanent battle (…) I tell young people, never forget, long live peace and friendship between men.”
