British startup Bactery has developed a battery that harnesses naturally occurring soil bacteria to produce a continuous flow of electricity. While each unit generates only a small amount of power, linking multiple batteries together can create a more substantial energy output.
Founder and CEO Jakub Dziegielowski says the technology is designed to work alongside renewable energy sources such as solar power, providing a steady source of electricity even during periods when sunlight is unavailable.
