Changing attitudes to the foods that we eat
I have worked for 30 years testing food, Agri, feeds, pharmaceutical and consumer products. I was awarded the MChemA in 1996 which enabled me to be appointed as a Public Analyst and scientific advisor for local authorities in the UK and act as expert witness for the courts. In addition, I have worked for several commercial laboratories as a technical and quality advisor and laboratory manager.
I have given advice and support to small, medium and large food manufacturers in the areas of legality including food labelling, HACCP, hygiene, nutrition and interpretation of test results.
I have also trained as a food standards inspector, and an ISO9001 and BRC auditor as well as developed several inspection platforms relating to food safety and hygiene
I have worked for 12 years on the Global business line for food at Intertek where I am responsible for the quality, technical and operations of Intertek food laboratories and for new innovative ideas that help our clients achieve their goals.
