7 Small Ways to Be a More Inclusive Colleague

We all benefit when we are inclusive, everyone feels valued and psychologically safe to be themselves, reducing friction and increasing output.

This article from HBR highlights 7 small changes we can all make to build a more inclusive environment. I will be looking to implement number 4 'Assess your vocabulary'. During my sight loss journey, I have become more aware of the impact our vocabulary can have on others and want to improve mine.

Which small change will you pick to implement?

Helping to increase inclusivity at your workplace doesn’t necessarily require an extensive DEI campaign. It also doesn’t require you to be in a position of power. Each and every one of us can decide to be an inclusive colleague and take small actions every day to improve our workplace culture.
