Build Beyond Ever Better (BBEB) is a powerful digital platform that makes it easy for anyone to have a voice. The platform enables readers and contributors from around the world to share and write articles on a range of topics, capturing new ideas, progress, milestones and challenges, as well as the amazing people and communities driving positive change.
We welcome your valuable contributions to making BBEB an increasingly insightful and engaging place. To start writing articles, all you need to do is sign up as a contributing author.

What can I write about? 

BBEB is designed to share stories that are important to you, your communities and the world at large. 
Our authors cover a wide variety of topics, from sustainability and climate change to social wellbeing and disability inclusion. Some people talk about the arts or sport, while others discuss technological developments or shed light on small community initiatives.
There are new stories emerging every day and, in our fast-moving world, the possibilities are almost endless. If you need inspiration, please read our latest published articles.  

Guidelines for writing 

We appreciate that everyone has a different perspective and writing style – that’s part of what makes the content across our platform so rich, diverse and interesting. 
We also understand that inspiration for many BBEB articles comes from sources such as news and organisational websites, blogs, academic studies, etc. When referencing third party content in your BBEB articles, please just remember that not all sources are reputable, so it’s always best to verify and fact check information where possible.
Additionally, when referencing third party content, we need to be careful to avoid plagiarism and stay compliant with global copyright laws. See below for guidance on how to protect your articles from these issues.

Headings

Use original headings where possible. While less common, headings from third party articles can be protected by copyright laws if they are highly unique, creative or function as a distinctive part of a larger copyrighted work.

Article copy

When drafting an article, use your own words to summarise or explain the topic you are covering. Original copy by other authors, published on third party platforms, may be protected by copyright laws. Therefore, it is not advisable to duplicate significant chunks of text from articles outside BBEB, even with credit. 

You can, however, include quotes from third party articles if you: 

• Use only as much of the source article as is necessary for quotation purposes – a short sentence or two. 
• Place all directly quoted text in quotation marks or as indented block quotes. When creating an article in BBEB, you can embed a quote and add a link back to the source article. 
• Always identify the source article by title and author. You can either include these details in the copy or provide a clear link back to the source article (e.g. through the functionality mentioned in the bullet above). 

Pictures

Contributing authors are encouraged to use pictures from Getty Images in their articles. These pictures can be chosen and embedded into an article directly through the ‘featured media’ section on the BBEB platform.
If you plan to use pictures from sources outside Getty Images, please ensure that you have explicit written permission from the image owner(s) and that any necessary credit is clearly visible alongside the image before submitting your article for publication.
