New Cars Are So Good at Blocking Out Noise, It's Getting Harder to Hear Emergency Vehicles

It's been a rough day at the office, and the commuting traffic is especially awful... But at least the cabin of the vehicle offers a nice respite from the world. We can relax to our music, and put the world behind us for a few minutes on the road.

But are we putting the world too far away? In our quest for a quiet, comfortable vehicle cockpit the auto engineers may have, in fact, made the cars too quiet! That's what our first responders are claiming, at least.
