Love, Celebration and Climate Awareness

Weddings are happy milestones, but as highlighted in this AP News article, they can also carry a surprisingly large carbon footprint. From imported flowers and long-distance travel to food waste and single use decor, traditional celebrations often have a hidden environmental cost.

More couples are now choosing local flowers, seasonal menus, rented attire and nearby venues to reduce emissions and waste. For many, sustainability is becoming part of the meaning of the day itself.

What I find inspiring is the mindset shift. A wedding marks the start of a future together. Making climate conscious choices reflects a commitment not just to each other, but to the world that future will unfold in.
