As the world gets ready for the 2026 World Cup and to celebrate “The Beautiful Game”, the environmental impacts are bound to be huge. With teams, and fans, traveling to and from, and crisscrossing North America there is no way it can't be. To that end, it's exciting to see that efforts are being undertaken to reduce environmental impacts by organizers. Stadiums, for example are pushing hard to “green” themselves and most have succeeded.

Let's hope that after a month of pageantry, athleticism, and celebration that both, your team wins (unless they're playing “my team”) and the environment does too.
