The Class of 2026 at Detroit Pershing High School created a lasting legacy by partnering with The Greening of Detroit to plant 100 trees throughout their community. Working alongside volunteers and corporate partners, the students helped create greener neighborhoods that will provide cleaner air, shade, and spaces for future generations. Their graduation gift is more than a memory—it’s a living legacy that will continue growing for years to come.

Years from now, families will enjoy the benefits of trees these students planted before receiving their diplomas. Children will play beneath them. Neighborhoods will grow stronger because one graduating class chose to leave more than a memory behind.
