SpaceX has delivered four astronauts to the International Space Station in just under eight hours, setting a new record for the fastest U.S. spacecraft journey to the station. The Crew-13 mission, launched from Florida after a three-week delay caused by a fuel-system issue, was led by NASA astronaut Jessica Watkins.
The mission also marked a historic milestone, with Watkins becoming the first Black woman to command a crew into orbit. The four astronauts will spend approximately six months aboard the ISS, conducting research and replacing the current crew. Canadian astronaut Joshua Kutryk is also expected to become a father while in orbit, as his wife is due to give birth during the mission.
