About Me

I believe each of us is here to make a difference in our own world, and at every step of my career, I have focused my energy on delivering growth and sustainable value for all of my stakeholders. Over the years, there have been times when I have been moved by examples of good leadership, which is essential of course to unleashing the full potential of any organisation. 

I’ve had the privilege of being in leadership positions for over 25 years in a number of global organisations and I have worked hard at becoming a highly effective leader, yet realised that there was no end-to-end proven leadership model from which I could learn or gain inspiration. 

I have often been asked to share my approach, so I have captured my own leadership principles in a simple model called Leadership with Soul, which I never stop applying every day to become an ever-better leader myself. Leadership with Soul simply sets out the 10 principles I believe are necessary for any leader in any organisation to deliver value for all stakeholders in the short, medium, and long term. 

I am passionate about helping people to progress in their own careers and I thought that putting my model into a book, ‘Leadership with Soul’, would enable existing and future leaders to reflect on their own leadership approach. I hope that Leadership with Soul will inspire those who read it to understand that good leadership holds the key to making our workplaces better, more productive, more sustainable places for all.

Leadership with Soul challenges conventional leadership thinking, asking leaders to listen to their humanist side and create significant value for all by simply putting people at the heart of their growth strategy, trusting, empowering and galvanising them to execute on a daily basis.
