Every day, around the globe, Intertek people are making the world amazing through the work they do for our clients, and through hundreds of projects that benefit their communities.

Today, I would like to recognise my colleagues Smriti Chand, Nupur subhasini and Ankit Kumar Singh, part of our Intertek India team, for a life-changing community initiative.

While installing a STEM lab in a school in the rural Gurugram region, the Intertek team noticed the lack of street lighting in the surrounding public spaces. As a result, our ‘Lighting Up Lives’ project was born, in collaboration with the Deep Welfare Organisation. We installed solar-powered streetlights in five villages in Gurugram, helping to create a safer environment for more than 36,000 people that live and work in the area.

Making significant contributions to causes that matter locally is central to our purpose.
