Privacy (or lack thereof) on your cell phone

It's not breaking news to say that your digital devices are listening to you. Most of us have experienced at some point having a conversation with somebody and moments later an ad or a news story related to what you talked about shows up on your phone or computer. Here's a way you can tell when your phone's microphone or camera (or both) is actively listening/watching.

When an orange dot appears in the top-right corner of your screen – right above your cellular bars – it means an app is using your iPhone's microphone... When a green dot appears this means an app is using either the camera or the camera with the microphone on your phone.
