From Tragedy to Triumph

A dear friend and inspiration of mine, Taariqa Archary, a quadriplegic individual, has successfully completed the Midmar Mile, overcoming incredible odds after a tragic accident left her paralyzed. Refusing to be defined by her condition, she embraced swimming as a path to rehabilitation and empowerment. She aims to inspire and raise awareness about the capabilities of differently-abled individuals. Taariqa’s journey is a powerful testament to resilience, proving that with determination and support, no challenge is insurmountable.

TAARIQA Archary has been through numerous challenges since she suffered a spinal cord injury seven years ago, when a drunk driver smashed into the car she was seated in. But she has faced her adversities with courage and determination.
