Responding to the biodiversity and climate crisis

Junayd Islam, a climate strike campaigner, highlights how young people are taking action to address the ecological crisis through activism and advocacy. The movement aims to push for urgent climate policies, hold corporations accountable, and inspire systemic change. So far, it has mobilized millions globally, influenced policy discussions, and continues to push for stronger climate commitments to secure a sustainable future.

His reason for being optimistic about the future: “We have the money, we have the technology, we have the ideas. All that’s left – is the will. The political, corporate and individual will”
