The consequences extend far beyond what the article outlines. Water scarcity impacts ecosystems, agriculture, and the daily survival of communities. When the land itself begins to shift as a result of water depletion, it signals a crisis that cannot be ignored.

This information should reinforce the urgent need for global water conservation efforts and meaningful climate action.

We believe it is also possible that a loss of groundwater and surface water is responsible for the land uplift.
