Drones tackle Everest’s trash crisis, hauling gear up and garbage down

This is incredibly cool because it shows how technology can solve some of the most extreme environmental challenges on the planet. Using drones to carry equipment up and bring waste down from Mount Everest is not only innovative—it’s essential. The mountain has long suffered from an accumulation of trash left by climbers, but traditional cleanup methods are dangerous, slow, and limited by altitude. By deploying drones, we’re seeing a smarter, safer, and more sustainable way to protect one of Earth’s most iconic natural landmarks while reducing the human footprint left behind.
