Most people associate Las Vegas with desert and neon lights, but less than an hour away is Mt. Charleston, a mountain that peaks at 11,916 feet and is surrounded by forest land. To help celebrate Earth Day, the US National Forest Service asked for volunteers to  plant 3400 Ponderosa Pine seedlings to help reforest trees that had died due to drought, infection, or other causes.

John Clark, the Intertek Transportation Technologies Global Marketing Manager, was among the volunteers.

"I spend a lot of time outdoors and nature gives a lot to me in terms of beauty, enjoyment and peace," he said. "When the opportunity came to give back it was something that I was happy to do."
