A new bill is being considered in Brazil that could accelerate deforestation in the Amazon.

It would mean land that has been illegally occupied could be put up for sale, potentially allowing illegal occupants to buy it.

Almost 40 UK food businesses have threatened to stop sourcing products from the country if it passes the vote, in the worry that the land could be cleared for farming.
