An abandoned landfill, which over the years has seen the collection of about two billion kilos of waste, has been turned into another open space for the family. The investment in this project reached € 4.5 million and has been transformed into an area where 43,000 trees and shrubs were planted with paved passages from where the public can enjoy panoramic views of the surroundings. Prime Minister Abela said that this project was built on sustainability and the Government’s belief that the environment must become a top priority. He said that these are were projects that would lead to a huge improvement in air quality and in the health of the Maltese and Gozitan people.
