New Autonomous Ship with No Crew and No Emissions

Many products purchased today are manufactured in other countries and transported via cargo ships. The shipping industry are looking for ways to reduce emissions with current emissions estimated to account for 3% of all greenhouse gases emitted globally.

This new autonomous ship uses a 7MWh battery to transport 103 containers. The first unmanned journey is planned for Feb 2022 between two Norwegian towns.

Reports indicate that shipping accounts for as much as three percent of all greenhouse gases emitted globally.
