Intertek has won Gold for its 2020 Sustainability Report in the 'Best CSR/ESG report' category at the 2021 Corporate and Financial Awards. 

The awards are hosted by Communicate, a trade magazine dedicated to the UK corporate communications community. Into its 10th year, The Corporate & Financial Awards is one of the only benchmarks of companies' communication with the City (the UK's financial hub) and its influencers. The awards programme celebrates and showcases excellence in financial communications and provides recognition for the efforts of staff, companies and agencies.

This award honours Sustainability reports that successfully showcase an organisations' commitment to communicating its CSR/ESG principles and the way it informs and influences its stakeholder groups. The reports are judged on ease of access to key information, including metrics, and how it demonstrates the relationship between the work done, the business strategy and the impact made.

Sustainability is at the heart of Intertek, and they work with many of the world's largest multinational corporations and best-known brands to improve the social, ethical and environmental consequences of their products, services and supply chains. As a leader in sustainability services, the company wanted to demonstrate, through the 2020 Sustainability Report, that its own standards are as high as those provided to clients.

Intertek reports its sustainability progress against the Ten Total Sustainability Assurance (TSA) Corporate Sustainability Certification Standards - the same standards used to audit clients. The report was prepared in accordance with GRI standards and the SASB Conceptual Framework, and included detailed index containing all the disclosures linked to from the corporate website.
