The Earthshot Prize is the most prestigious global environment prize in history, designed to incentivise change and help repair our planet over the next ten years.

The Prize aims to turn the current pessimism surrounding environmental issues into optimism, by highlighting the ability of human ingenuity to bring about change, and inspiring collective action.

Taking inspiration from President John F. Kennedy’s Moonshot which united millions of people around an organising goal to put man on the moon and catalysed the development of new technology in the 1960s, The Earthshot Prize is centred around five ‘Earthshots’ – simple but ambitious goals for our planet which, if achieved by 2030, will improve life for us all, for generations to come.

The premiere of the five-part television series The Earthshot Prize: Repairing our Planet launches today on discovery+ and premieres on 16th October on Discovery in U.S with a global rollout to follow. The series will also air at 6:05pm on BBC One in the UK with all 5 episodes available to view tonight on BBC iPlayer.

The inspiring five-part documentary series is led by Prince William, the founder of The Earthshot Prize, and features Earthshot Prize Council Members Sir David Attenborough, Dani Alves, Shakira Mebarak, Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim, Naoko Yamazaki and Christiana Figueres.
