The Maltese authorities are to send about 135,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to Rwanda. This is being done in coordination between the Health Ministry, the Foreign and European Affairs Ministry, Air Malta and the European Union. This is not the first time Malta has assisted other countries in the fight against Covid-19. Thousands of vaccine doses were sent to Libya in recent months and oxygen masks were sent to India.
