In the world, where 4.9 million breads a day and 1 trillion dollars worth of food per year are wasted, 40 percent of food waste occurs in hotels and restaurants. Fazla Gida and Metro (IS:METRO) Turkey, which enables food businesses to create economic and social value from excess demand products by effectively managing their unsold product stocks, has started a joint effort to ensure that the EXTRA Application is used in more businesses. With this work, food waste will be called "stop".

Excess Food and Metro Turkey signed a new cooperation to reduce food waste. Within the scope of the cooperation, it was stated that the MORE Application, which brings the surplus food and beverages that preserve the freshness of the restaurants and cafes to the consumers with a 50% discount, will be used effectively in more businesses in the food and beverage sector through Metro Turkey.
