An Environmentally Friendly Alternative to Roof Shingles

Our world is becoming more and more concerned with environmental sustainability but there are reasons why some may choose something like gas or standard electricity over more environmentally friendly options. Individuals may choose standard electricity over a more sustainable option because of the cost or how it might affect the exterior look of their home. However, what if both cost and how it looked were taken into consideration when developing a new solar product? Well, one of the largest construction companies in the USA has taken an interest in solar shingles. These shingles are an alternative to large solar panels which are found on homes & cost half the price in some cases. As an added bonus these shingles are more aesthetically pleasing which may incentivize more people to install them. As we search for sustainable ways to provide ourselves with electricity, solar shingles seem like a viable possibility and step in the right direction for a better future.

A normal family home can be shingled with solar-celled roof material that’s fireproof, waterproof, and tough enough to walk over, in just two days due to their similarity with regular shingles.
