La Agencia Estatal de Investigación, dependiente del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, ha concedido una ayuda al proyecto liderado por investigadores de la Universidad de Cantabria (UC) denominado "S2H, Análisis de la eficiencia en la conversión de energía solar en hidrógeno a partir de agua de mar".

La iniciativa S2H ha obtenido financiación en la convocatoria para colaboración público-privadas y en él participan las empresas APRIA Systems y las entidades públicas MARE y Gesvican
