PAC Global launch Inclusive Opportunities and Universal Packaging Charter

Packaging is one of the biggest challenges visually impaired people face when shopping. RNIB highlighted the challenges in this short video:

Kelloggs and RNIB have worked together on accessible packaging as covered in my Improving Shopping for the Visually Impaired article.

PAC IOU is a new charter to imrpove accessibility of packaging across industries.

On June 14th, 2022 Kellogg’s, Procter & Gamble, Aire Global, RNIB, and PAC Global have become the first signatories of the PAC IOU Charter. The charter calls on the packaging industry to embed inclusivity and accessibility into all aspects of the package design process so that packaging is accessible to everyone.

I am looking forward to seeing the developments in this space.

The aim of this Charter is to ensure people’s differences are recognized and incorporated into every stage of the packaging design and manufacturing process.
