Patagonia backs new clothing repair centre

Creative textile platform Makers Unite and outdoor clothing brand Patagonia have linked up to open a major clothing repair centre to increase circularity in the fashion industry.

The United Repair Centre (URC) in Amsterdam aims to carry out 300,000 high-quality clothing repairs for affiliated brands and their customers each year.

Consumers that purchase products from URC members will subsequently be able to contact the brand to organise for the product to be repaired at the URC, with it then returned to be worn again.
