October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer, all of the Intertek Offices in San Antonio supported the cause by wearing pink all month.  Each office held a “Pink Out” Day for a photo opportunity to help emphasize the importance of breast cancer research, regular mammograms, and ensuring every woman has access to the screenings she needs and the support she deserves.

Breast Cancer affects 1 in 8 women in the United States. 65% of those cases will have a survival rate of 99%.  Cancer’s impact is felt physically, mentally, emotionally and financially and throughout the family and support group.

Holly Schmidt, office manager for our Carnot office, is a one-year survivor.  Her support crew brought in pink ribbons and yummy pink desserts to celebrate Pink Day.  Holly also organizes a Breast Cancer Walk in Castroville each October.

The PSA and Bandera “Pink Out” Photos offices also were awash In Pink as evidenced by the photos attached.
