With conflicting reports about whether we're heading towards an El Niño or a La Niña, it's anyone's guess as to what kind of climate we can expect in 2023. But, one way or another we are sure to complain about it!

El Niño events bring warmer sea surface temperatures and changes in atmospheric circulation, causing drought or heavy rainfall in different regions. La Niña events bring colder sea surface temperatures, resulting in opposite weather patterns, such as drier conditions in South America and heavier rainfall in Australia and Southeast Asia. Overall, El Niño and La Niña events can have significant impacts on global climate, influencing everything from agriculture to fisheries to weather-related natural disasters.
