Intertek Automotive Research in San Antonio held its second BBEB event for 2023 during the first two weeks of May and collected food for the San Antonio Food Bank. A total of 622 pounds of food and $125 was donated to benefit South Texas families. This non-profit serves over 100,000 families every week. Operating on a 2% overhead, they collect, distribute, cook, and grow food as well as educate families to improve their lives and provide job training in warehouse logistics and culinary arts.

The Food Drive culminated in a "Stack the Cans" event lead by the engineering team.  There was much discussion as to just what the stack would look like.  The “building inventory” was moved from boxes to tables to a transitional table, then to the construction site before becoming a reasonable facsimile of the ALAMO! Then of course all had to be reboxed for delivery to the Food Bank! The training room was transformed from meeting room to construction site and back to meeting room for the process.  The included Photo is of the construction team and the completed "Alamo" before it "fell" back into the Boxes for delivery.  (Visit us in San Antonio to see the Real Alamo!)
