Magic touch: how ‘revolutionary’ changes are making braille better than ever

As a newcomer to Braille in 2021, I can confirm that Braille is getting better than ever. In a recent trip, my Braille display allowed me to take notes and read them back without distracting me from the presentation and conversation in the room.

And in 2021, after crossing the finish line of London Marathon, Williams found braille on the medal hung around his neck for the first time. “It said, ‘We run together’, and I could read it. It wasn’t somebody reading it to me,” he says. “Being able to do that yourself, I think, is quite powerful.”
