The annual Zero Project Conference has become a unique global meeting place to innovate for disability inclusion. This year, more than 1,000 people from 100 countries attended #ZeroCon24 at the United Nations Office in Vienna, with innovations and sessions centred around the topics of Inclusive Education, and ICT.

Access Tech Live attended the event and have provided many interesting interviews. In this interview, Steven Scott and Marc Aflalo interviewed Philip Rizcallah, the CEO of Accessibility Standards Canada to discuss the importantance of standards and how they help shape regulation and legislation.

Standards impact our lives daily, helping to ensure consistency, quality, Safety and interoperability. However, there are few standards including accessibility or being focused on accessibility. It is great to see Canada focusing on cresting accessible standards, I am sure these will have a ripple effect and influence other standards and countries.
