As part of the 34th Anniversary celebrations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Linked IN have published employment information for people with disabilities. The statistics are based on US data sets, and therefore will vary globally.
- LinkedIn profiles self-identifying as disabled are 3.7% more likely not to have a current job.
- Those with a job are 6.7% more likely to be in entry level roles.
- The gap in employment hasn't improved in the last 5 years.
- The percentage gap between profiles self-identifying as disabled and not reduces as you go up the corporate ladder.
It's important to note that this is based on data from LinkedIn and will not be representative of the full employment landscape.

In April 2024, about 14.2% of LinkedIn members who reported having a disability did not have a current job listed on their profile, compared to 10.6% of members who reported not having a disability. That means LinkedIn members who report having a disability are 3.7 percentage points more likely to not have a current job. This gap has stayed consistent over the last five years.
