Canada Pledges $12.5M for Southern Ontario Conservation

The Canadian government has pledged $12.5 million to support economic development in Southern Ontario. This funding will be used to boost innovation, create jobs, and enhance the region's economic resilience. The investment focuses on sectors such as advanced manufacturing, digital technology, and clean energy, aiming to strengthen local businesses and attract new opportunities to the area. This initiative is part of Canada's broader strategy to promote regional growth and sustainability across the country.

The Government of Canada has invested over $12.5 million in Canada Nature Fund and Enhanced Nature Legacy funding (through the Target 1 Challenge program) with Conservation Ontario to support the acquisition of land primarily in southern Ontario.
