In 2019, Amazon launched an initiative to have 100,000 all-electric delivery vans in its fleet by 2030. It seemed so far away then, and the number sure felt like a stretch goal at best.
Five years later Amazon surpassed the milestone of 15,000 electric vans in use, and now that production is in full swing with EV-maker Rivian, they appear to be on track to hit their goal. The way technology advances these days, they might have a realistic shot at blowing past their goal sooner than expected.
