Microsoft have released a new adaptive Xbox joystick for use with their adaptive Xbox controller. The joystick has been a collaboration with the community to meet the individual needs of disabled gamers. Microsoft have partnered with many organisations to design and share a range of joystick tops that can be 3D printed to meet gamers needs. This allos the controller to be customers to an individual.

Accessible and sustainable packaging:

  • A center-seamed shipper with looped tape to make it easy to open
  • Hinged box lid, with large loops to get to product and cables, easily and quickly.
  • No twist-ties or clam shell plastics!
  • Fiber-based, right sized and single use plastic-free and designed for recyclability.

With the Adaptive Xbox Joystick, Microsoft demonstrate what is possible when we design for accessibility and sustainability.
