Vitamin D: Benefits, Sources, Deficiency

As the amount of sunlight decreases through the fall and winter, remember a few minutes of good ol' sunshine can provide a multitude of benefits, bone and muscle health, increases in immunity, reduced risk of diabetes and even cancer. 

Supplements are an option but, for me, sunshine is my preferred choice. 

Now research is looking at this vitamin as a panacea for numerous ailments, from the common cold, to even cancer,” states Robert Oh, MD, MPH, Chief Wellness Officer of the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System.
