A high school student from Solana Beach, co-founded the student-led environmental nonprofit Go Greenish to address climate issues in coastal San Diego. Inspired by local climate threats like fires and bluff collapses, Crocker advocates for student involvement in sustainability efforts. Go Greenish collaborates with schools across California to push for greener practices, with a mission to educate leaders and drive tangible change.
“Climate change will have the biggest impact on my generation, yet our voices are often missing from climate decisions even though we’re the ones who will inherit the consequences. I created Go Greenish because I saw a clear need in my school community for student involvement on sustainability efforts,” he says. “I chose to have students take the responsibility to educate district leaders and lead the way toward tangible change.
