Azure is a new home builder that constructs 3D printed homes using recycled plastics and fiberglass to build entire structures. It takes the equivalent of 150,000 recycled plastic bottles to “print” a building.

Think about how much of a dent that could put in the heaping piles of plastic that accumulate in our landfills. It might even be a solution to eradicate the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and the approximate 100,000 tonnes of plastic there.

Best of all, these homes can be affordable to millions of people who otherwise may not be able to afford good, quality homes.

These are great innovations that can help people while eradicating plastics from the environment. Win-win. Let's do more big things like this.
