Olives' sustainability path

The global temperature is steadily approaching 1.5 degrees Celsius, resulting in more unpredictable and extreme weather conditions. I found it encouraging to read an article that discusses sustainable olive farming practices instead of solely focusing on meeting the demand for increased production. This approach emphasizes responsible production and consumption, and highlights important factors such as soil health, water usage, and carbon capture.

The land dedicated to organic production in Spain rose by 5 percent in 2022 to reach nearly 2.8M hectares — representing 10.95 percent of the country’s utilized agricultural area.
