'Every little helps'

Thumbs up, Tesco!

Tesco has launched UK-wide career clinics aimed at supporting over 1,000 people in areas facing economic challenges. The initiative, designed to boost social mobility, offers free clinics to help jobseekers develop essential skills like CV writing and interview preparation. Attendees are guaranteed an interview as part of Tesco's festive recruitment drive, with the goal of increasing access to employment opportunities for those from disadvantaged backgrounds or lacking career support. This initiative highlights Tesco's commitment to inclusivity and workforce development.

Let's get more of such initiatives from the private sector!

The clinics would be free to attend and would aim to provide people with life skills and the confidence to move into employment, whether they were seeking a role at Tesco or elsewhere, the company said.
