Indian environmentalist Jai Dhar Gupta, inspired by Avatar and his own asthma, created a 32-acre biosphere connecting his land to India's Rajaji National Park. The once-degraded area, filled with non-native eucalyptus trees, was rewilded with native plants like haldu and saal. This private sanctuary now hosts wildlife, including elephants and leopards, and bans motor vehicles, focusing on preserving natural ecosystems and showcasing what rewilding can achieve.
