UN General Assembly: New Delegates And Political Declaration How To Cope With The Health Crisis

A few days ago, the UN General Assembly elected 18 new members to the Human Rights Council, replacing those whose terms will expire on December 31, 2024.

The list of elected countries includes a few unexpected omissions, raising questions about why some nations didn’t secure a spot. It's definitely worth reviewing the press release and forming your own opinions.

There was also significant discussion around the “Political Declaration of the High-Level Meeting on Antimicrobial Resistance,” which aims to foster greater transparency and smoother technology transfer between developed nations and those leading efforts to combat this global public health crisis.

 

Describing the Declaration as “the blueprint for our action to achieve a future in which all countries, regardless of their level of income, can protect the health of their citizens in the face of this threat” ...
