Amelia Earhart Day

July 24 marks Amelia Earhart Day, honoring the legacy of one of the most courageous pioneers in aviation history.

On this day in 1897, Amelia Earhart was born—a woman who defied gravity and convention. From being the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic to advocating for women's rights, she showed the world what fearless determination looks like.

Her story reminds us that boundaries—whether in the sky or in society—are meant to be broken. Today, we celebrate her spirit of adventure, boldness, and trailblazing leadership.

“The most effective way to do it, is to do it.” — Amelia Earhart

In 1929, Earhart helped form The Ninety-Nines, an international nonprofit organization whose mission was to advance women in aviation. Launched by 99 women pilots at the time, The Ninety-Nines continues to inspire the new generation of women pilots through education, scholarships, mentoring, and general support linked by a passion for flight.
