Soon in the northern climes the weather will begin to turn crisp, the wool sweaters will come out of storage and, of course, the leaves will begin the colorful fall display. Hopefully you'll be able to get out for a weekend or a few days to take in the autumn colors.
But have you ever thought about the science of why the leaves change color and just how subtle environmental factors influence the length and vibrancy of the colors.
