Footwear brand Crocs has announced its plan to become net-zero by 2030, which includes becoming 100% vegan.
The brand’s sustainability plan looks to create a more comfortable world, considering every piece of its business and searching for impactful ways to reduce its environmental impact and waste.
Although the brand’s Classic Clog range already has a low carbon footprint, Crocs is taking a step further to improve the sustainability of its materials and packaging, and making investments in resource use and innovative product afterlife solutions.
In addition, the footwear brand will be ditching its leather-based shoes for vegan alternatives.
In 2020, 85% of all Crocs’ shoes were sold without boxes, reducing the brand’s impact on environmental resources. Crocs promises to continue to explore sustainable alternatives for all other elements of its packaging.
