Air Canada orders 30 electric-hybrid aircraft for takeoff in 2028

Since early 2020 travel plans have been put on hold by a lot of us due to the pandemic. Now that things are settling down a bit, a lot of people have travelling at the top of their mind. With so many people looking to travel it's important to view how much of an impact this could have on the environment. Air Canada has done just that and is looking to test electric aircrafts for regional travelling.

Currently the planes have the ability to travel 124 miles and carry up to thirty passengers which isn't extremely far but there is also a hybrid function that can be used to double the range. This is the perfect test for electric planes and the viability they have in the travel industry. Humanity has created cars, trucks and motorcycles that are electric - it only makes sense to expand our horizons to aircrafts.

“The introduction into our fleet of the ES-30 electric regional aircraft from Heart Aerospace will be a step forward to our goal of net zero emissions by 2050,”
