Growing green consumption drives China's sustainable transformation

The surge in green consumption in China in 2024, fueled by the enhanced availability of eco-friendly products, is driving a significant shift toward sustainable production and environmentally conscious living. A recently introduced, comprehensive trade-in policy across various sectors now offers increased subsidies for energy-efficient products. For instance, consumers purchasing home appliances with grade 1 or higher energy or water efficiency standards can receive a 20 percent subsidy, while products meeting grade 2 standards are eligible for a 15 percent subsidy.
